In the aftermath of the brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, entire streets turned into rubble, with tons of debris piling up over public facilities and neighborhood entrances. This severely obstructed the movement of residents and relief teams, limiting the delivery of humanitarian aid and essential supplies. In response to this urgent reality, Aksa Association launched the Debris Removal and Road Clearance Project, addressing a critical need in the most affected areas, especially in northern Gaza.
This project aims to reopen both main and secondary roads that were blocked by destruction, ensuring access to homes, healthcare centers, and schools. It is considered a vital first step toward restoring daily life, stabilizing communities, and facilitating further relief and development efforts.
The project is carried out by specialized field teams in collaboration with local machinery and under direct supervision of Gaza’s emergency units. Aksa Association has ensured that the work adheres to safety and environmental standards, with priority given to densely populated areas and key infrastructure.
Thanks to the generous support of donors in Turkey and abroad, Aksa Association continues its efforts to clear the devastation left behind by war. This initiative contributes to paving the way for recovery—not only at the infrastructural level, but also on psychological and humanitarian fronts.
Every road reopened, every piece of rubble removed, marks a new beginning for a family, a path of hope for a child, and a powerful message that Gaza, despite the pain, rises again—driven by the will to live and the compassion of those who stand beside it.
