Aksa Medical Aid Boosting Gaza’s Health System Resilience

Amid the severe deterioration of the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip, caused by ongoing blockade and aggression, the urgent need for immediate medical support has become more critical than ever. Recognizing that saving lives begins with securing the most basic medical supplies and equipment, Aqsa Association has made the health sector a top priority in its humanitarian efforts.

Providing Emergency Medicines and Medical Supplies

The association began by securing urgent medical shipments containing life-saving drugs and essential supplies used in emergency rooms and operating theaters. These shipments included antibiotics, anesthesia drugs, intravenous solutions, disinfectants, and wound and burn care materials—all aimed at bridging the growing gaps in hospital needs, especially in northern Gaza and severely affected areas.

Supporting Hospitals and Health Centers

Aqsa Association focused on field hospitals and small health centers that suffer from a lack of resources, providing them with basic devices such as blood pressure monitors, oxygen machines, and portable medical beds. It also offered logistical support to expand emergency departments and funded repairs for critical medical equipment damaged by power outages or fuel shortages.

Field Partnerships That Save Lives

The association built an effective network of cooperation with medical personnel and local volunteers, enabling the rapid delivery of aid to the most affected areas. These efforts have increased the capacity of medical teams to handle cases involving bleeding, burns, and injuries from bombardments under extremely harsh conditions.

Despite logistical difficulties and security risks, Aqsa Association reaffirms its commitment to providing sustainable medical support. This medical initiative is not just an emergency response—it is a step toward empowering Gaza’s health system to withstand pressure and recover its ability to serve the community in its darkest times.

Through its continuous efforts, the association believes that health is a fundamental right for all and that dignity is incomplete without safe treatment and a real opportunity for healing, no matter how severe the crisis.
