Aksa Supports Gaza’s Displaced Children Amid Severe Hardship

Displaced children in the Gaza Strip are facing extremely harsh humanitarian conditions amid the ongoing blockade and Israeli aggression. The loss of safe spaces and the basic necessities of a dignified life has left them vulnerable. Their suffering grows day by day in the absence of even the most fundamental rights, as they confront a relentless reality marked by fear, displacement, and severe shortages of essential needs.

The acute lack of food and clean water poses a direct threat to the lives of thousands of children, especially in shelters and heavily affected areas. Many suffer from malnutrition due to supply chain disruptions and the scarcity of basic commodities. Additionally, most areas lack access to safe drinking water, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases. In such circumstances, healthcare and educational services remain nearly absent, further deepening the vulnerability of this already fragile group.

In response to this crisis, Aksa Association is focusing its efforts on children, recognizing them as the most affected and in urgent need. The organization is implementing comprehensive humanitarian interventions that meet their daily needs. These include the distribution of child-specific food parcels, the provision of infant formula and diapers, all aimed at easing the burden on affected families and ensuring a minimum level of care.

The association also places strong emphasis on psychological support, organizing specialized programs for children that include group therapy sessions and recreational activities supervised by professionals. In addition, educational and community projects are being carried out, including the creation of child-friendly spaces, the rehabilitation of damaged schools, and the funding of care centers that host displaced children and work to reintegrate them into more stable environments.

Aksa Association views children not merely as victims of crises, but as symbols of hope for a better future. From this perspective, every child-focused initiative is not just an emergency response, but an investment in Gaza’s future and a foundation for resilience in a generation capable of overcoming hardship and rising again.
